ever since coming to Pasadena and attending Fuller Seminary around 1998, EVERY YEAR I have gone to the Rose Parade and taken pictures and filmed it and posted it online, and have gone thru various cameras and camera-phones during this time, some better than others...and have stationed myself in various places over the years, always trying to find the best spot for taking good photos, including light & shade (too much shade from big buildings can hinder good pics). Anyways, last year I found what I thought was a decent spot, and the parade began, and there was this Asian (?) group/family near by and when the first pooper scooper duo came by they screamed in unison "pooper scoopers" and everybody laughed and cheered. It was kind of funny to see the lowly pooper scoopers get some recognition. Then another group of scooopers came and the Asian group not only screamed again, but this time they ran out on to Colorado blvd and posed for a selfie with the pooper scoopers. Still kind of funny, the 2nd time. However, you may anticipate what I'm going to say by now...this continued to happen THE ENTIRE PARADE...I'M NOT sure how many actual pooper scoopers they have in the parade, but basically they follow every equestrian entry...so it was enough to become not only NOT FUNNY after a while, but definitely annoying and tiring. It would be like a comedian telling a joke that gets some decent laughs , but then telling it again , and again....and again. And once you get a spot along the parade, it's not so easy to move after the parade is going, so we were ALL STUCK with this not-so-funny-after-awhile family group and their pooper scooper shtick. Hopefully, NEVER AGAIN !
