i was at the rose parade and a Chevron gas station owner offered some LA Sheriff deputies some free food at his gas station if they would take his side in a dispute about people on the grass in front of his gas station .. and the cops did exactly what he asked them to do... despite the fact that he did NOT own the grassy area in front of the gas station..it was public property. A few minutes later the cops walked out with their hands full of food and drinks. This kind of behavior by cops kills morale when people begin to believe that they get to enforce the law but do not have to abide by it themselves.
